Does Foxit eSign allow electronic signature on PDF and Word documents?
Foxit eSign allows both PDF and word upload while preparing the templates or documents for online signature; however, PDF is our preferred format. Additionally, Foxit eSign is also fully integrated with Google Drive and supports Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Presentation uploads. What cloud platform does Foxit eSign Support?
Foxit eSign is seamlessly integrated with Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, and Microsoft OneDrive. You can import documents from any of these platforms, prepare/send documents for electronic signatures. Once the signing parties eSign the document, it can be published or uploaded to the cloud platforms using the Foxit eSign document interface.

What is Remote File Server Integration?
Foxit eSign also allows companies to send all documents with digital signatures (process after obtaining electronic signatures from all parties) into their document management or files server system automatically into appropriate folders. Auto-derivation of document name feature helps our user quickly sort and identify documents, especially in the remote file servers.

What is an Online document Editor?
Foxit eSign online builder allows the documents to be created and edited by the teams via our interface. This feature has been deprecated, but our team will introduce a new and improved version of this in the future for online signature.

What all fields types are supported in Foxit eSign and with Foxit eSign Pricing Structures?
We offer all types of fields. Basic fields are signature block fields such as the Signer Name, Email, Date Signed, Signature, and Initials. Date, Email, and Name fields in this block are auto-populated on the document at the time of the electronic signature completion process based on the information filled out by the sender.

• Other Fields: Text field, Text box, Date, Checkbox, Radio buttons, Drop Down lists. Checkbox, when grouped, allow one or more selection within a group. Radio buttons, on the other hand, are mutually exclusive, and only one button out of a group can be selected. All the fields can be set as mandatory or optional. Any field can be made dependent on another, e.g. if a service checkbox is checked, you may need to enter types of services requested text box.
• Advanced fields include Attachment, Accept, Decline, and Secure fields. Attachments can be mandatory and useful in collecting relevant evidence of signer identity during the electronic signature process.
• Secured fields allow you to encrypt and mask the data except for the last few characters and make it available to only eligible users to see.
• Tab Order allows you to personalize the navigation experience by taking them to the next fillable fields as per the sender’s preference.
• Custom Validation: Regex Validations and inbuilt validations allow you to validate any type of data in the field, such as number only, characters only, SSN, EIN, Phone et.

What are personalized fields, and how are they used?
Personalized fields are available under the enterprise plan and give you an opportunity to predefine field names and types (from superadmin or personal profile). These fields can be dragged and dropped directly on the template and document just like any other fields but predefined attributes.

What are some of the useful productivity features that are included with Foxit eSign pricing and that can be used during document preparation?

• Bypass signature process: Foxit eSign requires you to add the eSignature field unless you choose to bypass the electronic signature field. This is needed for some companies where they just need approval as opposed to forcing users to create eSignatures online
• Replace files: Once you have prepared a template or an online document and placed all the fillable field tags, you can always replace the PDF behind without disturbing the fillable fields on the online document. You can save hours’ worth of your work using this functionality

• Emails from Your Domain: Once we authenticate validate your domain, all document signing emails can be sent via your personal domain that your customers are most familiar with
• Custom Instructions: Personalize the signing instructions and legal verbiage as per your requirement and place the Accept and Decline button for your clients while signing the documents

• Template sharing: Company users can create the reusable templates and share them with all the users in the company from within the template object or the template tab

• Automatic Reminders: Company level settings allow users to set their first reminder, number, or subsequent reminders and frequency. This setting can be overridden while sending the document

How to create online signature?
You can create online signature that is legally binding by drawing, typing, uploading esignature image, or using electronic signature pad like Topaz. Please contact our team for supported electronic signature pads. You can save and use your saved online signature automatically when you esign a document.

How do you track the esign document from sending to completion?
Email and SMS message is sent to the signers or viewers when the document is initiated. The following provides visibility at each step of the document till signing.

• SMS or Mobile Phone Text Validation: The feature is also used as an identity of the person in conjunction with the email. SMS failure is recorded
• Email Bounced Notification: If the signer email is wrong, a bounced email notification is sent to the sender
• Name and Email Correction: Sender can correct the address book and resend the document for esignature from the document tab or from the individual document folder
• Status notifications: Foxit eSign informs the user at each step of the document process: Sent, Opened/Accepted by the signer, declined by signer, comments made on the document by the signer, signed, and executed
• Comments: Comment on the document ais a legal way to record the conversation pertaining to the document folder for an online signature. Signers can interact with the sender and other signers using comments functionality before they create an online signature on the document
• Signer Delegation: A person who receives the document can delegate the signing to other authorized users if permitted by the sender. Delegated signer esigns the document however, the original person who delegated the authorized signer is kept in CC on all notifications
• Vacation Rules Workflow: Vacation rule allows company signers to assign another account user to sign on their behalf when they are on vacation. Users can set the vacation rules in their personal profiles
• Audit Trail: Foxit eSign provides a complete audit trail in the esignature certificate, including the IPs where users esigns from

How does the storage and archival work after the documents are signed?

• Labels and folders: Labels allow users to categorize executed document folders and easily search for them whereas, folder is migrating the documents into specific folders. A document folder can be labeled with more than one label but can only exist in one folder. We recommend to move only the executed documents to specific folders
• Department or Team documents Sharing: User documents can be shared with the department or team in the account user setup. This setup is a view-only access and does not allow security
• Remote Server: SFTP to remote server is an option for the Enterprise plans users
