Foxit eSign aka eSign Genie will allow adding a role or specific person to the template party. Currently, Foxit eSign aka eSign Genie handles only generic parties identified by party number on the templates. Senders who send multiple templates to esign have to be careful while designing and sending the templates.
This feature will benefit all companies and users who use reusable templates making reusable templates more user friendly than ever before.
How It Works
- A role-based approach allows parties a role assignment such as Employee, Manager, Business Partner or Customer, etc. When the templates get sent, all the fields assigned to each role remain separated, and it is easier to identify the signer name for each role while sending. This role-based approach will eliminate the issues associated with document fields being assigned to the wrong party accidentally anytime.
- Specific person assignment on a template makes it easier to assign a signer who will always esigns the document at any point during the workflow sequence.
This feature will also shift the recipient party buttons and make them more intuitive. You will be able to select Party or Role (You can add a role to the party), Me, and Other (specific signer).
As always, this is much-desired functionality by the users of Foxit eSign aka eSign Genie, and our development team is happy to be able to add this to our application features.
Important Points to note:
There will be no change for the existing template in use or the behavior for those who don’t need or want to adopt this functionality. If you don’t assign the role to party, they will be identified as Party Number (PN1, PN2, etc.). Users will be able to use this functionality on the existing templates also and take advantage of this feature. Roles will not be proactively assigned on the online forms as we currently do provide the functionality of the role there already. New online forms will have roles associated with the online forms.
